Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be televised from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
