Joshua Doubles Down on Provocative "Kill" Comments Directed at Jake Paul
Anthony Joshua repeated his provocative comments about being prepared to “kill” Jake Paul during a news conference in Florida on midweek.
These statements were first made on the previous day when the boxer was asked if he would hold back against the social media star, replying that “if I can kill you, I'll kill”.
The upcoming fight against the YouTuber-turned-boxer has attracted debate over the risk involved and the size difference between the two fighters.

But Joshua, explained his mindset: “This is what I do, we fight. We have a licence to kill.
“I understand many people don't grasp it but this is what my job is. I love what I do. Whatever happens, happens - provided that my hand is held high, that's what's crucial, respectfully.”
He continued, “That's just the mentality we have to have as warriors. I don't know if other fighters think that way. Maybe they're a bit more tame. The way my mind works. When you're in the squared circle, it's a dangerous thing. Anything can happen.”
“You pray your opponent exits the ring unharmed, but if they don't, you still have to go to bed knowing you just did your job. It was not personal.”
Paul's Fiery Response
Jake Paul, a massive outsider in the heavyweight contest as a career cruiserweight, was equally fiery in his response.
“This is a modern day combat sport,” Paul stated. “I'm ready. I want his hardest punches. I want there to be zero excuses when it's all over. We should kill each other.”
